That's the question I have in mind, because as you know before this blog is a PR3. And so I want to increase it by one point, to make it a PR4. To meet that, I've read that I should build more links going to this blog. Specifically 'one way links' because they say Google weight it more compare to a regular 'two way links' or links exchanges that we do often. Incidentally on that month, one blogger ask me if I want to sponsor her upcoming contest and in return she will required all entrants to link to all the sponsoring blogs, so I immediately accepted the offer.
And then, the buzz of another PR update is almost on all blog so I prepared myself for the worst, because as we all know Google hates p@id links so I'm expecting to be PR zero, or if my PR increased, Google did not see me. Surprisingly after more than 7 months of blogging, this blog still has it's PR. I dunno what's the reason behind this, but as of now I can still say: "Google love me."
I hope I can say that for long.

how do you create one-way links? :-/
that's not easy, because you have to convince a blog owner to link to your blog without linking back to them.
Or you can create new blog and then link back to your main blog. Or just sponsors some contest just like I'm starting to do.

Which site do u use to check your PR? I tried one and it says NA. COuld this mean that I'm banned from Google?

I know that the mission to increase your Google PR is never easy. I've heard lately that a lot of people are finding their PR dropping. I do think you have a great idea in sponsoring the blog contest. Not only will that give you one-way links, but it will also help to get your blog out there, and maybe give your blog an even bigger following!
Well, if it's any consolation.. my blog has a PR 2 also but i dont get a lot of opps anymore from either PPP or blogvertise. What other programs do you suggest?
Most of the popular blogs Ive seen the links they do for outlinks are no follows which might help =) keep your page rank

Sorry... Your blog is now (according to my Google Toolbar) a PR2. Though it may just be a temporary sandboxing of your Google PR. Good luck.
